fan house

A fan house is a type of cooling system used to keep a building or room cool. The fan house consists of an insulated box with one or more fans mounted inside. Air is drawn into the box through the fans, which circulates the air around the building or room. This type of cooling system is relatively inexpensive to operate and can be used in conjunction with other forms of cooling, such as air conditioning. In the event of a power outage, fans are used to move air over ducts and other objects in order to maintain temperature. Fans may also be used to supply negative pressure (i.e. iced over roads), or to remove air from spaces.
